Case Study: FLUOROSILICONE CONNECTOR SEALS
A can’t-fail solution for a mission-critical aerospace component.
Background
A company that manufactures specialized connectors and electronic components for military/defense, aerospace, commercial aviation, and medical device industries suddenly lost its connector seal supplier. The manufacturer called PGC to request a set of custom seals for its components. PGC had to find a solution that met the following conditions:

Chaos occurs when the maintenance team goes into the firefighting mode, running to fix a broken machine in the middle of a production run. We are finding that the best way to move away from this kind of reactive maintenance is to work towards a preventive maintenance approach —focusing on fixing a machine before it breaks, rather than scrambling to fix it after.
MD&M TRADE SHOW
PGC is attending the MD&M Minneapolis 2019 trade show. It’s taking place October 23-24, 2019 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, MN. PGC’s business development manager and sales application engineer will be at booth #2530 to discuss your on-going projects. Anything from solutions for gaskets, seals, adhesives, o-rings and more.
PGC WON THE PLATINUM AWARD FROM WELLNESS BY DESIGN
PGC is excited to announce that we won the platinum award for Wellness by Design. Wellness by Design Awards are presented to Hennepin County employers that demonstrate accomplishments in management support, wellness infrastructure, communication, and programming directed at improving employee health.
WELL-BEING FAIR
To support the wellness of the team PGC developed the Well-being committee where they focus on the health of everyone in the company. This past month the members put on a Well-being fair that spot lighted mindfulness, physical, mental and financial health. Available at the fair were information on these different areas of health. Professionals in these areas were available for questions and had literature if you wanted to learn more on how to start or maintain a healthier lifestyle.
