PGC received the Manufacturer of the Year Award in the Small Business Category at the annual awards ceremony held by the Manufacturers Alliance in Minneapolis on April 10. The ceremony brings local manufacturers together to celebrate and recognize companies like PGC that share information and experience to strengthen the Minnesota manufacturing community.

“I’m honored to accept this wonderful award on behalf of PGC,” company President Dan Harvey said. “With our focus on ‘People, Planet, and Profit,’ PGC cares about our employees and we make sure the company is as environmentally responsible as possible. We have introduced lean principles to our manufacturing processes in 1999, focusing on key continuous improvement metrics such as safety, quality and delivery to maintain solid growth and profitability.”

The best measures of quality come from customers, and John Deere, one of PGC’s key customers, has awarded the company its highest supplier certification for seven years in a row.
