PGC knows that cybersecurity is important and works towards implementing best practices to protect sensitive information. To help ensure the safety of unclassified information (CUI) and the overall cybersecurity posture of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), the Department of Defense is migrating to a new cybersecurity model known as CMMC. PGC is going through the process of further implementation of the NIST 800-171 standard in preparation of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification process (CMMC). CMMC has five security levels from basic to advanced because a one size fits all approach isn’t appropriate for all types of contractors. It’s intended to confirm there is proper cybersecurity and verifications are practiced. PGC is working with third party companies for this initiative and to verity that all 130 cybersecurity areas are met. We anticipate an 18-month implementation plan.
